Curried Tofu is very easy to make and is a perfect addition to salads, tacos, soups or any curry gravies. This recipe requires just 5 ingredients and can be done in under 10 minutes.
What you’ll need to make Curried Tofu
- Firm Tofu
- Turmeric
- Salt
- Curry Powder
- Olive Oil
How to make Curried Tofu with step by step photos & instructions
1. Drain water from Tofu.
2. Wrap the tofu in a clean towel or paper towels and set something heavy on top. Let it sit for half hour.
3. Now cube the tofu and add them into a mixing bowl.
4. Add turmeric, salt and paprika. Toss until the tofu is coated well. Set aside for 15 minutes.
5. Heat a skillet and add oil. Once oil turns hot, add the marinated tofu cubes and saute until all the sides turn brown.
**Optional step – If you want your tofu to be more firm, bake them for 10 – 15 minutes in the oven at 350 degrees F.**
6. Serve with salads, tacos, soups or curry gravies.
Notes
- You can add seasonings of your choice to add more flavor.
- Firm and extra-firm tofu works best for this recipe.
- Replace or change the paper towels if they are too wet.
